Since their first release in 1997, Newton Johnson have been pioneers and risen in status and reputation to be one of the finest producers in the renowned cool climate region of Hemel-en-Aarde (“Heaven on Earth”) in Walker Bay. Join us for an evening in the company of Bevan Newton-Johnson who will explain about their approach and philosophy and take us through their superb and very Burgundian styled white and red wines, but with a twist!
Newton Johnson have also expanded their plantations to look at new varieties and styles – including the Iberian Albariño and classic Rhône varieties. Bevan will tutor a selection of wines (with canapés) before enjoying further examples with dinner. This is a must for both lovers of ‘Burgundy’ and South Africa – a meeting of Old and New World at its very best.
