The grapes for this wine come from Western Cape's Coastal Region, from selected vineyards across Stellenbosch and Paarl.
Grape variety:
100% Chenin Blanc; vineyard parcels are separately fermented at low temperatures and with selected yeast strains before the blend is created.
Producer:
Klein Zalze (‘little salt’) is owned and managed by ex lawyer Kobus Basson. Winemaker since 2014 is Alastair Rimmer whose impressive CV includes a viticulture degree at Stellenbosch University before experience at Overgaauw, Agusta and Vergelegen in South Africa, Spy Valley in NZ, Juan Gil in Jumilla, Diablo Grande in California, Belvidere Estate in South Australia, and finally as Head Winemaker at Darling Cellars.

Initial aromas of lime and citrus zest are beautifully intertwined with guava and tropical fruit.
