Domaine Laroche is based in ‘L’Obédiencerie’, a former monastery in the village of Chablis where wine has been made for over 1,000 years. The domaine consistently produces impeccable wines, defined by the Chablis hallmark of crystalline purity and racy acidity.
Area:
Saint Martin is the patron saint of Chablis, whose relics were kept in the Laroche Obédiencerie, a former monastery, for many years. The 2023 cuvée blends fruit from the Laroche vineyards (90%) with carefully selected old vine parcels (over 45 years old) managed by small growers with whom Laroche have worked closely for many years. The vines are planted on classic Kimmeridgian soils, packed with fossilized oyster shells and imparting a marked minerality on the wines. All of the vineyards are farmed following sustainable practices.
