Miedes is one of the key wine villages in the region of Calatayud, which is south of Rioja in north east Spain.

Grape variety:
100% Garnacha, fermented cool and briefly matured in concrete tank before early bottling; it’s all about capturing the natural fresh fruit that makes Grenache/Garnacha so appealing.

Producer:
Bodegas San Alejandro is a modern co-operative of over 150 growers, formed in 1962. They have nearly hectares of vineyards, at up to 1,100 metres and they are now in the process of getting full organic certification.
