Alcohol percentage: 12.5%
Area:
The estate is named after Andrea di Pec, The Chancellor of Gorizia in 1540, but also a revered viticulturist in his day. Today the estate is owned by the Collavini family (since 1896). The winemaker is Walter Bergnach. The soils are rich in iron, with clay and gravel. The canopies are opened up to provide free flowing air circulation and optimum exposure to sunlight.
Grape variety:
100% Pinot Grigio
Vintage:
After gentle pressing the juice spent a short maceration on skins (hence the hauntingly pale pink note from the copper-coloured Pinot Grigio skins) which also elevated the aromatic qualities in the wine. Cool fermentation then took place in stainless steel to dryness. The wine was rested on its fine lees for 3 months prior to bottling.
